A tiny bite of Korea

Ennivaló Korea in english version

A tiny bite of Korea –Kimchi travels to Debrecen

The Debreceni Koreai Kulturális Egylet’s second event was successful. A tiny bite of Korea ( hungarian title : Ennivaló Korea) was all about korean gastronomy and street food.  Tóth Károly chef was a perfect representer of korean food. His videos, travelogue and photos made a really good atmosphere, also it was a great opportunity to guests who wanted to ask some questions. Sure, everybody became hungry after those videos, but we suprised them a little bite of Korea ;).

We truly believe the success of this event was the interaction. Károly was a narrator, he spoke a lot about videos, what we can see those pictures and montage.  In the interview he answered really detailed, it was in sync with the videos. We listened a lot of information about korean food, restaurants, etiquettes.

I ask a few question from Nemes gabriella, who enjoyed our second event.

Hello, thank you for coming. I am really glad, that you were there. Please tell us your opinion about „ Ennivaló Korea” event.
- Hello, you are welcome. Well, I was really happy about the event because I learnt a lot from korean gastronomy. It was very good, what I only see in internet, now, I can watch it in videos and also Károly talked about it more.

What was your favourite part of the event?
- It was when I met new people. It is always a rare opportunity to meet someone who has a same interest as you. Also, the key word is „new” because I learnt a lot of new things. These are my best parts.
We are thinking about more events of course. Do you give us some tips?
- Okay, sure. Well I love all asian topic, but if we talk about specially Korea, i would like to hear more about korean manga

Oh so, you love mangas? This is your best part about Korea?
- Yes, i love them, but this is not the only part what I like. Honestly I love korean art but I don’t know too much about it, just some photos I have seen before. Of course, I love kpop because it is a little bit better than japanese pop. Korean pop songs have a really great melodies. Also I totally adore korean traditional music.

I hope you loved kimchi and kimbap!
- Of course! I like kimbap better but kimchi tasted good too.
